Yangfan Hu

M.S. student in Computer Sciences at University of Wisconsin-Madison

I am Yangfan Hu (胡洋凡, pronounced like “Youngfan Hugh”), a master’s student in Computer Sciences at the School of Computer, Data & Information Sciences, University of Wisconsin-Madison. My current interests are in trustworthy machine learning and large language model safety, with a broader background in systems programming and backend infrastructure. Recently, I have been working closely with Jiawen Zhang, Haoyue Bai and Professor Jiawei Zhang.

Before coming to Madison, I worked as a game server engineer at miHoYo/HoYoverse, where I built backend systems in C++20 for large-scale online games. I received my B.E. in Software Engineering from the College of Computer Science and Technology, Zhejiang University.
